It depends on how careful the glass installer was.
I just had my windshield replaced and watched the guy do the work. As I recall, you can see the drain tubes when the glass is pulled, but they on the inside of the A-pillar and are held by a couple of clips. The glass is wrapped in the rubber gasket, glue/sealant is put on the mounting flange on the car, and the glass is put in place. Then the A-pillar covers go back on. But the glass doesn't go on top of the drain tubes.
It's possible that a drain tube could have gotten pinched, but it seems unlikely, unless one of the clips was missing and the A-pillar cover somehow crimped it. But I think the drain tube is pretty stiff--hard to crimp.
