That's a scary looking photo but in reality that disassembly is no better or worse than what's required to do a V6 timing belt in a 9-5. (Want to do the 9-5 V6 thermostat? Please begin by removing the entire intake manifold. Not hard, just a little time consuming.)
Other than bigger jobs like these, maintenance is maintenance I figure. Unless you're constantly fixing a broken car. Now there's your crapshoot. Do Saabs or Audis break more? Depends who you ask.
God knows you want to avoid the turbo 4-cylinders in both, at least till 94 onwards in Saab's case.
