The new part arrived. The cable feels secure at the connector. The part shipped directly from Orio North America. The part was inside a plastic bag. The label on the bag reads "90451441" (that's the current Saab part number) and "Made in Germany". The part itself is marked "GM" and "90451441" and "SIEMENS" and "MADE IN FRANCE". So this is a rebranded Siemens CPS. The connector is black plastic at the end that fits inside the engine block. Electrically the part is as specified in the Trionic manual, with infinite resistance between pins 1 and 3, and with 535 ohms between pins 1 and 2. That's at room temp.
