I'm on 9000 #7 and I've not had any lug bolts come loose on me. Most of mine were still on the factory hubs, except one. I did have the lugs come loose on my 98 Suby GT Wagon when the wife was driving it. Fortunately, she noticed something wasn't right and stopped before the wheel came off. Since then I always torque the bolts to 90-100 Ft-Lbs on the Saabs. I usually rotate at least twice a year when I change snows plus when I pull the wheels for brake work. I've probably put a couple hundred thou on 9K's if I total them all up. Pretty much all I've driven since 1997. I know you're not supposed to lube the threads but I sometimes put never seize on the threads and then wipe it off so there's just a slight hint of it left. They never come loose and I still need a cheater, most of the time, on the 24" breaker bar to save my back when breaking them loose.
