It's been a while since I've poked around back there, but if you look behind the trunk lining on the US drivers side, around the antenna area, you should see a nice convenient plug for the trailer wiring hook up. Saab really made it easy to hook up a trailer. I'm sure you used to be able to get a nice harness ready to go to plug into this, but unless you can find an old NOS or used one you'll probably have to hook up the wires from a generic harness (still beats having to splice into the tail light wires though). The other issue if you're in the US is that it's set up for European trailers with separate blinkers, so you'll have to install a powered magic box that combines the blinker signal and the brake light signal for most US trailers.
