All Aluminum Radiators Posted by goodwrenchldj [Email] (#2641) [Profile/Gallery] (more from goodwrenchldj) on Mon, 23 Mar 2020 12:54:30 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I have driven manual transmission 9000's approximately one million miles since buying my first one in 1989. The two 1998 CSEs I currently own are my fourth and fifth. 9000 number five, with 172,498 miles on it, still has it's original radiator. There is a a white stain on that radiator's tank beginning just under the upper hose attachment fitting which appears to be evidence of a small Zerex G-5 coolant leak. The hose is good and the hose clamp is tight. I am concerned that there might be a small crack in the plastic tank that only opens when the radiator is hot. My experience with Nissens radiators has been poor. I installed three on 9000 number four before I got one that did not leak where the aluminum joined the tank on the driver's side. Do any of you have experience with all aluminum radiators? If yes which manufacturer's product did you choose? How did they fit? Where did you buy it? Should I simply stick to one with plastic tanks? Your responses will be appreciated. Thanks.
