ABS sensor diagnosis with a Tech II? Posted by skibumm100 [Email] (#3255) [Profile/Gallery] (more from skibumm100) on Sun, 4 Jul 2021 14:01:52 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I bought a Tech II about 6 months ago after I purchased an '02 9-5 Aero after realizing you can't empty the ashtray in a 9-5 without a Tech II. OK, that might be a little dramatic but they seem to require a Tech II more than a 9000 does. I have the memory cards for the 9-5, the 9000 and my GMC truck. After receiving it I plugged it into the 9-5 to make sure it would connect, unplugged it and put it back in the box saying to myself "I'll have to take some time and figure out how to use this thing." Fast forward 6 months and I'm trying to get the "Wreck of the old 97" CSE ready to run the gauntlet of being my #2 son's first car. #1 son had it for 4 years in college and made a real mess of it. I spent well over $2K on repairs while he had it because I had to pay my old indy to do everything because it was 15 hours away. Brakes all the way around, incl calipers and lines, windshield, etc. When I got it back it had (2) broken door handles, dash top was trashed, windshield washer was spraying into the aquarium, yada, yada.
Anyhow, is there a good tutorial on how to use a Tech II to diagnose various 9000 problems? Specifically ABS activation? I searched the archives here and found an instance where someone had a shop do it but that doesn't help me. Any pointers would be appreciated. Have a safe and happy 4th!
