Does the heater blow hot when the hoses are hot? Has the ACC been cycled/reset? I'm wondering about a potential HVAC mixing door issue. If the radiator and heater hoses are changing the temperature significantly, I would vote for a bad T-stat. If the engine coolant is staying hot, could be an air pocket, low coolant level or mixing door ACC issue. I have had flakey things happen with cabin heat and cycling the ACC helped. Just something to try. I just went through an issue with a T-stat that appeared good but wasn't.
