I repaired the reservoir on my '92 9K CD last week. It was leaking from one of the protruding anchor posts. I used RTV blue gasketing silicone as suggested on this BB. Worked out good for me. I tackled mine as follows:
1. Raised the car,set jackstand in place and removed the wheel.
2. Removed the lower part of the spoiler.
3. Removed forward part of the wheel well cover (front wing liner)
4. Removed the corner light.
5. Reached in from the corner light opening and unplug the reservoir connector.
6. Reached in from the wheel well end and unpluged the charcol cannister connection.
7. Unplug the tubes.
8. Unscrew the two bolts from the upperbracket that holds the reservoir neck.
9. Unscrew the bottom anchor posts. These two were the most challenging to get of due to very limited access. A swivel adaptor helped.
10. Pulled the reservoir out.

Once I had the reservoir out, I removed the pump and was able to see the cracked "button head" where the anchor post is pressed into the reservoir body. I decided to seal the crack from the inside as well as around the anchor posts.
I prepared the posts & surrounding area by brushing with a brass wire brush and cleaning with some mineral spirits.
The inside I prepared by removing the level switch and then taping over the level switch and pump openings. I then poured about a quart of water & 1/2 cup of corn into the tank. Using the corn as an abrasive(rice, beans, or small gravel will work just as well)I swirled the mixture around to clean the inside area around the cracked "button head." When done, I flushed the tank clean, drained it and used a blow drier to dry it out.
When dry, working through the washer pump opening, I squeezed RTV blue all over the cracked "button head" and pressed the RTV Blue down using the flat head of an 8"nail (that was the best thing I had on hand). I also applied RTV blue all around the anchor posts where they attach to the tank.

I let the RTV blue cure for about 20 hours and then reinstalled the washer reservoir. To safeguard against undue strain on the reservoir while reinstalling, I removed the bumper corner bolt & unbolted the fender. I then pushed the bumper forward and pulled the fender out enough to allow the reservoir to slip in.
Some might say this was a lot of work, but it worked out for me. I did it for the love of my Saab. Besides,it saved me the $147 cost of a new reservoir and another $150-200 in labor.

Hope this helped. Better yet hope your problem was only a leaking check valve.
