I had removed the two torx screws that hold the air tube on the intake box but there is just one plastic clip holding it on right now. I did all this through the hole created by removing the turn signal, it wasn't easy! Should I take the entire box out? It looks like it just has a bunch of those snap clips to keep it on. I would take out the fender liner to do this right. I was just going to remove the tube and then add another hole equal to the existing one. Also, I'm not sure why people are worried about getting water in their open element filter if they put it where the stock box is, its almost completely sealed form the outside.

When I get the downpipe in and a complete 3 inch exhaust from the turbo back, I plan on doing an open element k&n filter where the existing box is now and also upgrading my ecu. thanks for the suggestions. I took so many photo's because I knew I as well as others could use them for explaining things in the future... I hope eveyone gets something out of them.
