I have a 91 9000 CD with the 2.3 turbo and auto transmission. 5 to 6 out of 10 times when I start the car I must enter the radio code. The car behaves like the battery has been diconnected. The car will start. I've tried other Clarion radios in place of the one that is in the car but the problem persists. I was wondering if anyone has ever had this problem and if they did, could they remedy it.
Furthermore and even more elusive is the fact that on occasion (once to 3 times in a 6 month period) the car will not start at all. When I turn the key on and off several times it may start. Once I had the car towed to a shop. When it was taken off the rollback, it started as though nothing was wrong!! Pretty frustrating. I've had the ignition switch changed with a known good used one. That change out did nothing for either problem.
Any information or suggestions that you folks could provide will be greatly appreciated. I have the car serviced regularily by a real "ace" but these intermittant problems have never manifested themselves enough for him to nail them down. I look forward to any suggestion at all. Thankks in advance
