Larry,
I've been slacking taking photos this week, but I also haven't been able to put a ton of time into the car (there's a damned sport sedan with lots of weird electrical problems that's been sucking my time the past few days) but I am going to try to make the cutout into the firewall for the engine (fairly) easily removeable to be able to access crank pulley and such.
My car won't have carpet, and I have to make custom pedal mounts anyway.
Although I'm also taking into account having to be able to get the engine out in a hurry to run it in endurance road racing anyway, the goal is to be able to swap engines complete in about 45 mins - one of the old LeMons teams that we sponsored did an engine/gearbox swap in their car in an hour flat once with some of our mechanics doing the work, but they didn't have anything simplified to make the procedure easier, like drybreak fuel lines or one master plug to disconnect the whole engine wiring harness and things like that.
Best,
Drew
