For me, it has almost always been a leak in the hose that holds the pump to the housing. When you remove the fuel pump cover you will most likely see fuel surrounding the pump. Only thing you can do is remove the pump and fund a suitable (submersible) fuel hose and then clamp it on there. I suppose the o-ring could be it but a full tank does not really reach the very top of the tank. That's where that O-ring is. That being said, the fuel surrounding the fuel pump has to slosh around to leak out. Who knows. As well, I have had pin hole leaks in the line from the fuel pump. One last option is the check valve just before the tank on the passengers side. That and the hose that follows it to the tank were replaced by a better, longer hose that provided more clearance over the rear axle. I had one that was hitting the axle and eventually stared to leak. If your leak is on the passenger side, check that, and of course the aforementioned sender unit. If on the driver's side, it's the pump stuff.
