thanks for the info gary. yes, the engine was changed out a while back(before 01) with a 16 valve; but does have an old style turbo-no apc. And it has the CIS from a VW. I may try to change over to the LH sysmtem from the later 900's. CIS parts apparently becoming harder to find now.

no steel gas tank-it is a 1980.

I will check the return line.

either way I am trying to get her running after 6 or more years of sitting. the previous owner cleaned the tank and put in premium. She said it is getting fuel and it ran intially for 30 seconds but it doesn't turn over now. I cleaned the piston on the bottom of the distrubutor and adjusted the plunger thing. It now hiccups some but still no start. She did have a new distributor that I may buy.

definitely need to research more on the cis system. Looking for a cheap fix till I decide which direction I will go.
