Matt, I have the same problem you have and it is frustrating. Thanks to Gary to describing it so well and this "official service fix". Is there any bulletin or documentation for that? I'd like to be able to go to a SAAB shop and be able to show them exactly what I need done or do it myself at a club event. A couple of years ago I was at a local SAAB shop sponsored event and when I went to leave my car wouldn't start. One of the shop guys ran over and taught me to turn over the engine 3 times to get the fuel pump run and build pressure and then hold the pedal all the way down and crank it. That does work, but Gary's explanation of the vapor lock still makes that method problematic. Other people in the club have told me about installing a button or switch to run the fuel pump, but I'd rather just get the system working properly and if the 'official fix' is documented, that's what I want to add.
