CIS Fuel Accumulators 1 Saabers Like This Post! Posted by Gary Stottler [Email] (#1463) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Gary Stottler) on Tue, 18 May 2021 04:40:10 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Hi All,
I thought it would be worth a new thread on this particular topic. Millions and millions of cars from nearly all European manufacturers used Bosch CIS variants in the 70s and 80s, and the fuel accumulator was an integral part of all of them. So I am not worried about them being unavailable.
I just googled the VW PN provided by Dan and got a fit for an 80-88 Scirocco, $103 at Parts Geek. They don't show the Bosch PN, but the picture is the right (later/higher capacity part). Googling the Bosch PN (Bosch 0 438 170 010) gives all kinds of hits, mostly less than $120. Beware though, one place is listing the Saab 1977 GL and showing a picture of the earlier (lower capacity/shorter body) part which you don't want even tho that one is under $100.
So I am betting that you are good to go with the one you already ordered.
Best,
Gary
