What would you use for a manifold?

That would be my main question about this hypothetical project. The dual-Weber "moose antler" manifold goes crossways across the top of the engine, so the carb that feeds the left bank actually sits on the right, and vice-versa.
I suppose you could get SUs onto this item (if you could find one) via some kind of adapter, but I wonder how much clearance you'd have. The SUs have a suction chamber on top that sits up fairly high, compared to a sidedraft Weber.
