I posted this problem a few weeks ago. Thought we solved the problem but it has returned.
The Accumulator has been replaced, still does it so rules that out.......The temp sensor to the block replaced.......rules that out, all air hoses checked..all are ok, no leaks. There is sufficient spark, coil and distributor check out fine, replaced plugs...still does it. Fuel distributor cleaned out, now replaced...........still does it.
Anybody have any other ideas ?
This is my original post;
I'm experiencing a strange starting problem with my 76 EMS.
After sitting overnight it fires right up, no problem, runs great, no missing etc. BUT; when I drive it AND after it reaches normal operating temp and then park it, it will fire up no problem within 2- 3 min. of parking it, but if it is stopped for 4 min.+ or say long enough to gas up at the Gas Station, it won't start right up again. I have to crank it for over 2 minutes before it fires up. Murder on the battery, but it runs great again after that, until I stop the engine for 4+ min. again or leave it parked for over 5 hours.
Anybody have any ideas ? It's got me stumped.
