Stan is right, dig around in the config menu. The Infotainment manual is of some help but you're best using it as a guide.
My 9-5 also has the Harman Kardon speaker upgrade. It gives you a bit more in the way of EQ settings. If yours does, you might see if you like the sound better with the standard stereo or the HK surround sound settng. My preference is the latter as I think I hear better channel separation and slightly extended higher frequencies. YMMV.
More than likely your RDS capability isn't working unless the dealer flashed the radio before you took delivery. This problem is limited to NAV-equipped 2011 models. There is a fix available but as I did not find out about it until after SAAB declared bankruptcy I'm going to live with it for awhile as is. The RDS display informs you of what radio station you're listening if a station encodes it in their signal, much like you see when you're listening to Sirius/XM.
You'll probably be asking about whether or not your NAV software is up-to-date pretty soon. So to answer your question, I sent an e-mail inquiry to GM NavDisc about a month ago and heard back a few days later saying there is no ETA at present for the 2011/2012 update.
