I believe weak mostly means sloppy suspension and parts that wear out too fast. This was an update not a recall! I have almost 142k on my 1994 and I don't have the updated suspension kit. As far as I can tell (have first owner's records), I have all original suspension parts. Some people would tell you this is crazy, but the car has majority highway miles. The rear shocks are soft now and the front strut mounts are making clunking on bumps and braking and cornering. Replacements are on the long-term to do list.

The V6 is maligned by many who haven't owned it (and some who have) but considered OK by many of us who currently have one. If I was buying now, I'd get a 2.0t. You need to be well aware of the timing belt changes and potential catastrophe if not maintained. See linked post below.

Stuff like brakes, suspension, body are obviously the same with the 4 cylinder. Tranny, A/C, and some other stuff is not the same between the 2 engines. Your 9000 won't be good for hardly any parts I wouldn't think.

Good luck. If you are serious about buying your past post indicates 235k. That is a lot of miles, so expect serious regular maintenance on a high mileage car. It should be inexpensive to buy at that mileage but definitely not cheap to maintain properly.
