I must admit that this particular area of the 9-3 reminds me most of my 1983 900 Turbo... Those cabin temp knobs have been notoriously bad in the classic 900's (mainly in the 80's) and I chuckled when I saw them in my 9-3... And still maintained my good sense of humor when the heat got stuck on (as it did exactly in my '83 and '85 900's). I know my local dealer has addressed this specific problem with Saab so that the correct fix is made when and if it occurs (mine's getting fixed next Wed when I take it in for the free 20,000 service).
