...but I'm not sure about other 9-3's. The Viggen only has about 3 or 4 inches of ground clearance under that front air dam, so the ramps are just about mandatory unless you want to try to do the work blind (which I don't recommend).
The real trick is the ratchet for the upper bolt. You've got to be able to see it because there's no way you're going to get your hand up there to feel for it. Make sure your ratchet is assembled as ratchet, then extender, then universal joint, and then 10mm socket.
Even if you have to take a trip over to the auto parts store and buy a set of Rhino Ramps, you'll still have saved money over the cost of having the dealer install the light. Besides, the ramps are a good investment.
