Man, Goran:
I hope this gets fixed and that you get free replacement of any damaged parts as a result of the malfunction. I would bet that your mechanics thought that it was an oil problem because they found the lube oil where it should not have been. I think Sean must be right.
I remember once when a trottle stuck on me at about 4700 RPM in my dad's Porsche. WHOA! it was scary. It wasnt as bad as yours, because I could turn it off with the key. So I would start it, throw it into first, then second, and each time the engine would rapidly accelerate the car with no input on my part. Then I would just turn off the car so that I could coast. I didnt realize the first time that the wheel would lock if I didnt turn the car back on.... Anyway, I would pop the clutch to jump the engine back on, rapidly accelerate, and turn off the car the rest of that afternoon. Then when my day was over, I had to go to the shop [the shop was 12 miles (20km) out of town, and I had to get my girlfriend's dad to follow me]. Once I got on the highway, I just ran it up through the gears until I was cruising in 5th at 4700 RPM [over 100mph]. I didnt get pulled over, but I knew I would never again have as perfect an excuse for the speed I was driving. It was really pretty fun driving to the shop that day. My girlfriend's dad didnt get there for at least 5 minutes after.
In the porsche, it turns out that the problem was purely mechanical (this was a '78; they didnt really have electronic controls); The throttle linkage had gone past a certain point on its action spectrum, and actually wedged itself open as a result. I couldve fixed it by looking at the linkages on the carb under the air filter. Those were the good old days.
