I have a 2000 9-3 Vert and nearly 5 months ago I had the rack replaced. I also told them to take a look at the struts because something was going on there, noises and such. Why do service advisors argue with you when you are the driver of the car on a daily basis? Is it because I am a woman and they think I don't know any better? Their response was, "it can't be the struts, it only has 50K miles"! Well my car has had a hell of alot of other things go out much earlier than they should have and they still didn't check them. Well, 2 visits to the shop later and 2 more requests that they check those struts and why does the alignment not hold that they swear they do, guess what? I need a right strut! (aren't these supposed to be done in pairs) And now all my tires are ruined,(they only had 13k miles on them) so their sloughing off my concerns is going to cost me well over 1K with tires and 1 strut! I have another question...when they replaced my rack they did not straighten my steering wheel, and the steering was left very loose for 3 months (they said it was never a dangerous situation)would that have a bearing on the wear on the tires as well? When I picked up the car they had put over 50 miles on it! This car is no longer fun to drive because of the front end issues and that was why I got it a year ago, because it was fun to drive. After 15 thousand miles and more than $3,500 put into it from my extended warranty and my bank account I am wondering how much longer can I hang on to a car that is costing me more in repairs than it is in car payments! How can a dealer treat their customers so badly? Saab USA just shrugs their shoulders and does nothing! Any advice here guys? Would contacting the BBB do any good? I feel this dealer has been negligent in several different ways and needs to deal with this.
