Guess I have to admit the Saabs are a somewhat "cruder" car, therefore easier to work on. I used to work on my wife's 1988 Audi 80 and a little on the 1996 A4. The fit and finish on the Audis is so good it is like taking apart a watch, and difficult to put back together again. Irritating things like heater cores and evaporators went bad on those cars, and they are tough to get to and quite expensive. Never ending problems with dead instrument panels and oxygen sensors as well- two replaced under warranty on the 1996 A4 they sell for 1100.00 a piece. The 2001 TT got towed an number of times in the 25k she owned it, no problems with the 2005 A4 Cabriolet yet. She only puts 7-8k on a car per year, and only city driving - who knows, that could be a factor.
But NO forum offers the support system we have here. The SaabNet Classifieds are great too. Sold my 1994 900 SE there in 1 day!
