I am seeing the same symptoms on my 1995 900S convertible. I had the serpentine belt replaced in Sept (along with the engine mount, this was a $2300 repair, ouch!). In November or so the Check engine light came on a couple of times. At that time my mechanic told me (after a $93 labor charge to run diagnostics) that the 2 codes were showing up, one that the fuel mixture was too rich and the other that it was too lean. They also said they hadn't seen anything obviously wrong with the air mark or exhaust leaks or a bad 02 sensor. Since the light had gone away they advised me to wait. Also at that time I was getting the usual 19-21 mpg.

Now about 5-6 weeks later the check engine light has come on permanently, and my fuel mileage has dropped to 12-13 mpg.

Any suggestions to what could cause this? I don't want to keep spending zillions on an 11 year old car that Edmunds shows a book value of $3-4K. On the other hand it drives reasonably well and only has 85,500 miles on it.
