This will not work unless you've bought the optional CD changer (~$500). In a nutshell
* You cannot connect just any CD changer to a Saab head unit. Pre-2000 (?) you could hook up only Saab + certain models of Clarion. Post 2000 (?), you can only hook up Saab CD changers. The Saab head unit does some sort of digital handshake with the CD player using a proprietary protocol that nobody's decoded. (It's probably not that hard if you've got an oscilloscope and work as an electrical engineer, but nobody's really bothered.)
* The "hacking the CD changer cable" method involves buying a $500 CD changer which you can use if you want but mostly it's there just to do the handshaking and then you connect your aux in to the CD changer audio in wires with a switch to select the source.
