Nicole, I have the base model 2000 9-3 hatch, but the badge on the hatch should be exactly the same. Unlike the one on hood, the badge on the hatch does not have pins that fit tightly into grommets so that you have to carefully pry it out. It is held on by foam tape on the back of the badge. (A new badge will come with the foam tape already on the back of the badge, you just need to remove the protective backing...like on an adhesive bandage.) I do not remember for sure, but I think there are two round plastic pins on the back that fit into holes in the sheet metal that help align on the badge, but as I mentioned, they do not have to be pressed in to grommets like the hood badge.
Due to the foam tape on the original hatch badge being in place for 9+ years, it took some work to get the old badge detached from the foam tape, and then work to clean off the residue from the old foam tape, but in terms of process, it is fairly straight forward.
