Good--glad to hear you are not Santa Claus. From pmr's providing of the Mobil 1 data sheet, look at the flow rates.
The point I tried to make was that if you live where the low temp of the year lets say for discussion is 0 F. OK ? 0W, 5W, and 10W all flow to your engines vital parts(as the adverstisement goes) at the same speed. And if you have only one or two days (out of 365) why not stay with the 10W 30.
I read an SAE paper on Mobil 1 5W-30 many years ago, which basically almost succeeded in getting it rated as a 0W oil. One (of the many) tests made them rate it as 5W -30. The 5 W 10W oils are turbo rated---I do not observe any of similar on the Mobil 0W packaging.
So, if you feel you GOTTA change for the one or two really cold days, go to the Mobil 1 5W-30. Otherwise stay with what you have.
