The guy I bought it from turned down four offers to come look at and purchase the car in the couple of days that passed between me looking at it and picking it up. (I would have driven away with the car, but it needed an emissions test, per CA law, prior to transferring title. He took care of that on Tuesday the 5th.)

A week or so after I bought it, and found a couple of his personal items tucked in a seat back, he emailed me to give his forwarding address and offered me a one-year "warranty" on the car. Of course, I'll never take him up on it, but I don't know who else buys a 16 year old car and gets a full warranty!
