Replacing front hard brake lines/pipes Posted by SPG Jr [Email] (#1830) [Profile/Gallery] (more from SPG Jr) on Mon, 18 Jun 2018 06:39:21 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
The compression fittings between the hard (green) brake line and the flexible brake line to both my front brake calipers seem to be seized. I have flare wrenches and tried PB Blast and heat to no avail so far, but will keep hitting it it with PB and try again when I have time. They’re not rounded from my initial attempt but pretty close.
What’s involved with replacing the entire hard line to the ABS unit? It seems like it involves removing a lot of parts in the engine bay, especially the passenger side, but thought I’d check and make sure. Not sure there’s enough room to cut and splice in a new section since they are up against the inner fender but that may be the only other option.
