I'd replace all rubber vacuum lines -- to establish a baseline and be done with it. They all go to the intake throttle housing. The hard plastic lines are probably fine -- just inspect.
Spraying anything won't affect RPM because the fuel system adjusts.
Now we get into using a scan tool to observe fuel trim levels to see what's really going on, but replacing all hosing would be a great start.
Sorry, I have nothing for auto transmission. Best advice I've heard for an old car is not to get it flushed -- that embeds dirt deeper. Just drain and refill.
