i'm in the process of replacing the same sensor simply because I don't know how old the existing one is and I'm also changing rad hose and thermostat (car is new to me and coolant gauge is extremely unresponsive and idle speed is a bit over 1,000 rpm.
E Europarts lists about 5 different sensors for my car but is particular to the engine number. are you sure you got the correct sensor for your exact car? same connector as on the car? my car is 1997 and the sensor I got is 90-490-477. have not installed it yet.
