Hi there Saabu, yes I have the correct sensor and the connector fits perfectly. All of the Saab parts site, including Eeuroparts, give this part number when you punch in the year and model for my 1999 9-3se T5.
On my car, there are two coolant temp sensors. One is by the thermostat, the one I am concerned about, which I believe controls the Low fan function.
Second sensor is just under fourth fuel injector on the intake manifold, if cylinder one is the closest to the cams sprockets. This sensor feeds the ECU. If idle speed is an issue, I'd replace this one. its cheaper one of the two also. Ok for my model it is.
I replaced the thermostat also, with a Motorad 265-192(88C). Bleed/purge pin/valve at the 12 o'clock position.
