my bro posted this in saab news in 2017 ! Jack Dale

Saab 9-3OG Underhood Insulation No Longer Available
If you might be interested in this part, You may have heard that ORIO (a global supplier of Original Saab Parts) cannot supply the underhood insulation for Saab 9-3OG (900NG) 3 it is NLA ( no longer available ) and ORIO advised that the tooling used to make it was destroyed (?!).
Jack has been hard at work to find, locate a new manufacturer to supply it Jack Dale is trying to determine what model years of 900 – 9-3’s the same hood insulation would fit?
Saab OEM replacement underhood insulation
He also seeks to calculate an estimate for the #’s, of cars extant, left that might need it. Can anyone hazard an educated guess what # the market might be? As well, do you know of a company that could, would produce it – An OEM replacement ( we imagine it could be re-engineered, upgraded to function better and last longer) 🙂
PS someone Nick Taliaferro ? told me years ago it was difficult as it had to be truck shipped in one piece ! and so very PIA to ship ( and expensive )
"we were trying to find someone like sailmaker to make it flexible so it could be rolled up and then Battens inserted to pockets to stiffen it up ! " found sailmaker who owned a saab said he might be interested as project in the OFF season -[ they have the capability to stitch layers of fabric together ! This part was actually quite a sophisticated part ! ) I will try to find the email and follow up ! Neil
