The fact that it will not start without a "power pack jump" suggests that your battery has either failed or is not getting fully charged from the alternator. You should start by checking the condition of the battery with a multimeter or battery tester (if you have one). If you lack these tools, any decent auto parts store will be able to test the battery for you. Once the car is running, the alternator can readily be tested with a multimeter. Your issue may be the result of a parasitic drain which means that changing the battery will only provide a short term resolution of the problem.
