You dial in and look at air mass correlation value on the Tech 2. It is supposed to be +-0% and steady load. Some variations is allowed.
During steady acceleration, if the value drops into negative territory and slowly work its way down to 10-25% during that steady acceleration, the air mass meter is usually the culprit.
That same value is also good to use to spot vacuum leaks because it goes in to negative at idle when a hose is broken.
Or if someone have not seated the turbo intake pipe properly to turbo flange, that value goes in to positive territory.
