This summer I purchased a used 1995 900 SE Turbo Convertible from Wigwam Saab http://www.wigwamsaab.com with 84,000 miles. I’m going to provide the whole history on this car since it my be relevant to the solution.

I have had only a few problems with the car. First, on my way home from picking up the car. A radiator hose broke and my car overheated. The owner of the dealership came with a mechanic and fixed it for me and was very concerned about my satisfaction. The ABS and Speedometer computer got soaked in antifreeze and I had to have my mechanic clean it. Then the brakes were horrible. The dealer put new pads and rotors on before selling me the car but my car was loader than most school busses when stopping. My mechanic replaced the pads and this solved the problem. Although the Rotors I think are warped because the steering wheel has started vibrating while braking at speeds over 50mph. The dealer fixed the alarm and some lights and replaced some flex piping in the exhaust. Also the top was leaking extremely bad on the seals. This was adjusted but not satisfactory. I think I need them replaced. Next I hit a trench in an unmarked construction area at night. This bent my front calipers and caused them to make a clanking noise when braking. Insurance paid to replace these. Next my power steering pump started making noises when turning the wheel all the way to either side. I was driving the car to my mechanic to get this replaced, my girlfriend was following me to give me a ride to work. It was raining out and a trash truck caused the highway to stop. I was rear ended by my girlfriend. Her Toyota camery was a total wreck. It did not look savable. My car is just banged up on the bumper and it is getting fixed in a few weeks. In a few weeks my mechanic replaced the pump with a used but warranted one. This did not resolve the problem so they did not charge me for it. They told me it was still the pump and a new one would solve the problem, but not to worry about it.

This is the current problem. Except for the leaky roof and the bodywork that is needed. My car has started leaking slowly under the engine. It is not oil, antifreeze, or washer fluid. I suspect it is my power steering pump. I suspect either it was not installed perfectly or it is going. But what is concerning me is that in the last week at night when it is cold, around 30-45 Degrees Fahrenheit. The car always has and still is idling at 1000rpm. The car is randomly, when idling, making a low vibrating noise. If I give the car some gas the noise goes away. Also if I turn the heat off it seems to help as well. Any ideas on what could be causing this problem? Thanks for your help in advance.
