If the brakes work well on the clean and dry, then the brakes are fine. There are no brake rivets. The ABS might act strange on sometimes, not unheard of. Test it some as safe conditions allow. If you cannot duplicate, then what can you expect to fix?

Be careful with the vac line to the nylon crankcase vent fitting in the valve cover!!! It will want to break as it is embrittled from head and crankcase vapors. If you try to remove it for replacement, I strongly suggest that you attempt to remove by carefully cutting the hose.

I just get vac lines from Ace Hardare. If the weather is decent, you could do the work outside of a shop with a variety of vac line diameters and go get what you need as you work.

I found that the line to the BPV was the worst, the outside was very dry and crumbley.

The original hoses around the BPC valve are a very high quality material. I have not seen any problems suggesting a need to replace these.

The line to the brake actuator is very stiff and you cannot replace that. It comes as an assembly with fittings etc. So leave it alone.

The vac line to the MAP seems to stand up very well, so perhaps best left as is as the original material might outlast your replacement hoses.

SillyCone (TM)* hose is nice, but does not do anything better except perhaps lasting longer than the rest of the vehcile. Comes in nice ricey colors too!

Note to be confuzed with your Silly Cone filters!
