I have done a load of these repairs without failure. You have to pull the whole tonneu motor and bracket. Pull the motor off the bracket, put it in a vice and bend that cheap ass hinge plate back into position so the drive gear is positioned properly, drive out the old pivot pin and redrill the holes to accept the longer pin that the reinforcement brackets attach to the ends. The reinforcement brackets require fitting and drilling as they bolt to the tonneu motors backing plate bracket.
The Document from Saab is about 8 pages or better. I will post it in the Technical Documents at Townsend Imports Site when I get time.
