I have the exact same model, make sure the tensioner has been replaced with the new ones I didnt and mine came apart threw the serpentine belt broke a pulley, also make sure that the timing belt has been replaced on time every 30k unless it has been upgraded then I wouldnt go anymore than 60k without changing it, we have the auto tranny and havent had any problems with it, others may state different. We did have a problem with the valve cover this is going to be our fourth one for some reason the valve cover on the left bank of cylinders keeps warping I think that is just my car I dont think I have heard anyone else dscribe this problem. Have it checked out by a Saab mechanic of course. My relationship with this car started out love/hate now I just love it.
