Lansdowne Saab in BC was willing to do all my cross boarder paperwork and convert the new speedo to a US unit for almost nothing. (they said they did sometimes a few of these a week for people from Seattle)
But Dodge dealers will try to kick you out of the dealership.

The biggest problem in bringing cars across legally is the DOT sticker. You either need a paper from the manufacturer stating that specific vin number conforms to all US DOT rules and regulations, or you have to pay a private importing company about $500 for the same thing.

With that said, the deals up in Canada can be a sweet thing, the only reason we didn't buy an 02 from up there is the credit check took to long due to me being American, and I got antsy and bid on one on ebay the next day.

With all that said my wife and I have brought 2 cars into the US and have had no problem. But both were older and warranty was either n/a or privately held (not dealer or manufacturer affiliated)

AFAIK the Saab warranty would have only been good up in Canada and they do have different warranty periods. I live about 35min from Lansdowne though and about 2-1/2 hours from the closest dealer in the US so that of course would have been fine.
