Please take the time to read a few issues before you put it down so hard. It's a rather amusing rag and can be insightful sometimes. While more sophomoric than Playboy, there is a wealth of rather good information in the magazine.
Since I have read it monthly for a number of years (never missed my fix), some common themes have come shining through. The articles about women have a slant (besides humor) that basically says to compliment your woman, go out of your way to do nice things, think gifts (and horizontal activities) through so that you know what she wants, don't concentrate on yourself. The point they're getting at is to be there for a woman emotionally because, frankly, more men need to pay a higher degree of attention. It just can't be said enough. Now, I'm not saying that Maxim is ever going to change the world, just that they're not near as sexist as you think they are, and rather funny if you give them a chance.
I'm not insulted, just throwing out the other view of the issue here.
