First take an ice pick or something sharp (long nail etc.), and see if it is hollpw or if there is wood behind the holes you used before. If its solid, just get longer screws..if its hollow you have two choice...use hollow wall (sheetrock) anchors from any hardware store or Wal-Mart. Or..slightly reposition curtain rod till the supports would fall over solid material..usually just outside window edges. Hope this helps!
