Duck Tours are most likely fun, all the people I see on them seem to be having a good time, but for the love of God please don't quack at everything you see. As for places to eat, I'd suggest Fire + Ice, a different breed of restaurant. You pick out all your ingredients and then a sauce, and they cook it in front of you. Plus it's all you can eat, and on the weekends you can get all you can eat lunch there for $8, a steal I'd say. As far as the Freedom Trail is concerned, I'm not much of a fan, but that's probably because I walked the freedom trail what felt like 20 times on elementary school field trips. Newbury St. is a good time if you have the dough to swing a meal there. Boston.com might have some good suggestions for things to do and places to see.
