I would just check and see if the built-in video features steal CPU cycles. The benefits of a dedicated video adapter are that you can upgrade it and it should offload work from the CPU. Most motherboards are going to come with an AGP slot these days and a really good performing video card that fits the AGP slot can be had for very little. I am a gamer so I'd shy away from built-in video. Even though it's a kids' game doesn't necessarily mean it won't have high performance requirements. Check prices at NewEgg (linked below) as I've had good luck with them. They also have customer reviews of just about every product that might help you out.
