OT-Garage Floor paint

Hello,
I am having a house built and really want to do the floor before I move in.
I had the floor at my current house done about two years ago from a customer who I bardered with. Well, he quoted me on my new 24' by 24' floor and it is WAY more than I want/afford to spend. (guess I got lucky the first time)
I etched the floor and then helped him apply the base, color and then clear poly with 2% grit. He works for a company that coats insides of water tanks ect., so the stuff is very high end commercial.
Griots sells a kit for painting the floor, and will run me roughly $300.00 when it is all said and done. Just wondering if there are any other makers of good floor paint that anyone has used. They didn't mention any type of grit in the paint and there are areas on my floor that when they are wet, they are pretty dangerous. I was thinking of testing whatever paint I end up with with sand as a scratch coat, and maybe a poly covering.
It has been such a great thing to be able to keep the floor clean after reapirs that I am hooked, just really can't afford the process offered.
thanks,
Kevin O
