i know it's off topic and "other cars" but i'm sure most of us would get a rise over wheeling past a mint '84 GTi, silver on blue, so clean you could eat off of it.
i pull the bike up next to the guy (down here in Norwalk CT) and he tells me he had it since day one. 33K miles/no a/c (my fave GTi, an '83 white on red, did have A/C) i told him i had 4 of them and we both had a great laugh. obviously, he knew that car was a collectors' item from the jump, and it is, because i would pay close to the $8K it cost for his car, in a heartbeat. he said "i can never get rid of it." can't say i blame him.
