Was $1100.00 when you figure in the free 76" screen which I sold and got a 104" diag one. Now that Infocus 5000 is selling at Costco for $1000.00. The cheapest on the net I could fin was $1430.00 so the price is really good.
I have it ceiling mounted but it can be on a self also. Got an 84" tapesty for the wall when I roll the screen up.
Resolution is 1280x720 which is HDTV and can do up to 144" diag projection. I'm about 80" diag and I love it. I can also have a lamp on in the back of the room and the picture is still really vivid.
I'm using component video but I didn't think it was much better than the S-Video cable. I just have a regualar DVD player and the picture is great!
It has a 2000 hr bulb life so if you watch tons of tv you shouldn't get front projection( bulbs are $300.00) but for movies and special programs that you want big it is great. I use my smaller tv for regular programs where 25" is good enough.
Now I have the big screen to go with my good surround speakers that I got seven years ago.
Costco has the great return policy so this and the price sold me.
Have fun,
Cheers, KB.
