For the record, I have NEVER received a speeding ticket, or been in an accident (knock on wood). I have been driving for 18 years. Not many people have that kind of record. The reason I have it is because I operate my vehicle safely at all times -- I pay attention to what is going on around me, and I know my vehicle's capabilities.

The fact of the matter is that these cameras are actually unsafe. They increase the risk of accidents at stoplights. And they are set up in certain areas to ticket people who are driving in safe conditions, even if a person is going only 5 MPH over with the flow of traffic. They are set up to print tickets for people driving safely in ways that cops would have the judgement never to write tickets for. The purpose is purely revenue generation. If people don't do something about this now, in ten years there will be a camera on every road and every intersection. That's an infringement on privacy as bad as any wiretap.

Your approach for getting out of these things seems to be to perjure yourself or ask your wife to commit perjury. Personally, I don't think that's kosher -- or mature. It's certainly a lot worse than spraying reflective stuff on your license plate.
